What are Resale Events?

Various early childhood PTA’s and other organizations around the Northeast Ohio area sponsor kids sales.  They are both a service for members of the organization and the community looking to buy or sell gently used childrens clothing and toys, as well as a fundraiser for the organization.

Generally a resale event is set up like a huge garage sale, but only infant, children’s and toddler items are sold.  You can find everything from cribs, swings and high chairs to clothing for all ages, to outside toys, books and so much more.

As a rule, you pay a very nominal admission fee, and then you pay each seller at their table for items you wish to purchase.  There are a few sales in the area in which all the items are grouped by size or category (for example a table with all size 3T girls clothes) and they all have tags from the various sellers.  This again is not the norm, but you may run across it.

Sales are open to the public, generally with a higher early bird entry fee to get to see the items for sale first.  Often, sales have a large item area, such as the West Park Kids sale, where all the strollers, swings, cribs, bouncy seats, saucers, high chairs etc are all together in one location to see the choices you have.

Most sales are open to bring your children but be sure to check the listing about that.  Sales are held in the fall and spring so you can check back to the Resale Events page of this website often to see when all the sales will be held.
