Information on Joining West Park PTA

We meet the third Thursday of each month, September through April, from 6:45-9:00 p.m. at the West Park YMCA, 15501 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44111. Babysitting is provided ($1 per child). Join us for a fun and informative evening.

Membership requirements: $15 dues plus 10 hours of volunteer time a year, including help with fundraisers and actively serving on one committee.

What do you get for your $15 and 10 hours of time?

• access to all speakers and information at meetings for FREE
• connections to other families in the West Park neighborhoods FREE
• information on local resources such as schools and day care centers from other parents FREE
• access to special field trips – some FREE and some a very minimal cost
• playgroups FREE
• moms, dads and parents nights out at minimal cost
• special seasonal parties – free or $1 per child
• scheduled parents nights out where we babysit your child – $2.00 per child for the entire three hours
• member entry to buy and discounted rates to sell for our twice yearly kids resale event
• opportunities to participate in our online email group for upcoming events, advice, finding items and more – FREE
• Santa’s closet for the kids to shop for family and friends
• making new friends FREE
• and much more!

What about the volunteer hours?

Don’t let that stop your from joining!  They are very easy to obtain – here are just a few of the simple ways!

• bring a snack to the meetings
• help with set up or clean up for meeting or other events
• make a meal for a member who has had a child or is in need
• help with a fundraiser such as selling All Around Town Books or Kids Sale
• help on a committee or with one of the parties
• help with a service pr0ject
• and many more easy ways that really benefit our group and our community!
